Each kind of stone has particular specifications which define the application then we can use:
- Marble is not suitable for exteriors applications because it will damage by whether changings. Due to the variety of colors and textures it usually can be used for interior applications such as flooring tile, decorative wall covering, kitchen countertop, washbasin and so on. Some marbles are strong enough for interior stairs. So, to choose right marble for each application needs technical information and experience.
- Granite is very strong stone with low-rate water absorption. Then it can be used as stairs, parking flooring tile and pedestrian. Moreover, somebody would like to use of granite as kitchen counter top and window sill as well. Granite has limited texture and color in compare with marble.
- Travertine is a stone for exterior applications, because it has too much pores and is not suitable for interiors. It is strong enough against whether changings, sun light, snow and rain. Façade, exterior stairs and flooring, garden decorative furniture, blusters are some applications of Travertine. It is usually white, red, grey and yellow.
- Onyx is a decorative stone for interior applications such as wall covering, flooring and furniture. There are limited colors such as orange, green and blue.
